Today’s learners use a wide variety of digital texts, and while this access provides incredible new opportunity, it also introduces new challenges. In this course, learn how to empower students with digital age organizational skills so they can catalog and recover all of their learning resources. Discover new ways to entice students to interact with the text for deeper comprehension. Many of the proven strategies have undergone a digital makeover! Students can now use digital annotations, and their notes can be private or shared socially with their peers or the whole world. They can use graphic organizers that incorporate text, image, audio, and video. Groups can access a document and share comments in synchronous or asynchronous time. They can even respond to text in a very personal way using screen-recording software. Digital age literacy means more than just reading, so now is the time to tackle text in a whole new way!
